Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Komunika JournalCommunication Studies undergo a double-blind peer review process, meaning the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

Steps in the Review Process:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

    • The editor conducts a preliminary check to ensure the manuscript fits the journal's focus, scope, and writing guidelines.

    • Manuscripts that do not meet the criteria will be rejected before peer review.

  2. Reviewer Assignment

    • Suitable manuscripts are sent to two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.

  3. Review Process

    • Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, relevance, methodology, scientific contribution, and writing quality.

    • Reviewers provide recommendations:

      • Accept without revision

      • Accept with minor revisions

      • Accept with major revisions

      • Reject

  4. Editorial Decision

    • The editor makes the final decision based on reviewer feedback and communicates it to the author.

    • If revisions are required, authors must submit the revised manuscript within the given deadline.

  5. Final Check and Publication

    • Once the revision is approved, the manuscript goes through a final check before being published in the upcoming issue.

Review Timeline

  • The average duration of the review process is 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer and author responsiveness.
